Prayer Bundle Ceremony

Join 18th Street Arts Center and Miguel Rivera, Board Member, as we take a moment to celebrate 18th Street’s 35th anniversary, our rich history, and promising future.

The Prayer Bundle Ceremony will be an inter-denominational ceremony specifically honoring/appreciating the Earth elements we –  as staff, board and artists – steward and rely upon.  This gathering will draw upon old and new human practices of caring for/stewarding/acknowledging the Earth and all its living beings. 

Some of the practices Miguel will draw upon have been gifted to Miguel by his elders of different traditions, and they were given to him with the instruction and understanding that they are to be widely shared and accessible to all people to participate in and practice.   

Please bring a small object that embodies your aspirations for 18th Street Arts Center.
