Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

In Australia, 27 million toys end up in landfill annually, contributing to 6% of global plastic landfill waste.

Discover what happens to your toys when you are finished with them through hands-on, interactive experiences. We will explore the importance of sustainability and the joy of giving back to both the environment and our community.

  • Explore Toys: Learn about toy lifespans and environmental impact.
  • Bring Preloved Toys: Give them a second life and reduce waste.
  • Hands-On: Clean, sort, and package toys for reuse.
  • All participants will get to swap with others at the end of the session

Don't miss this chance to play, learn, and swap. Let's make a difference together!

  • Any toys, games, and books that are in good working condition and suitable for reuse (limited to one shopping bag of items).
  • All children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult so both the parent/carer and child can get involved.

Simple rules to follow:

  • Ask yourself: Is this item good enough for my friends or another child?
  • Check that all battery-operated items (toys, games and books) are in working condition and replace their batteries when necessary (this is a safety issue)
  • Battery-operated toys should have battery cases secured by screws or other means to prevent children from prying them open.
  • We may refuse any items that are not in the desired condition, which you will need to take home with you.
