Information Session: Kindergarten for Refugee and Asylum Seeker Families
The Victorian Multicultural Commission, in partnership with the Department of Education, invites you to attend an online information session to support refugee and asylum seeker families to better understand, and access kindergarten, including Early Start Kindergarten and Pre-Prep for young children 3- 5 years.
Free Kinder is for everyone, families do not need to have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency to be eligible for Free Kinder.
Event Details
This 60-minute session will be delivered via Zoom with a presentation and Q&A.
The session
Provides clear information about eligibility, funded hours, registration and enrolment
Helps families understand their entitlements, available supports and benefits of more hours of kindergarten
Ensures parents and community leaders feel confident to enrol children in kindergarten including Early Start Kindergarten or Pre-Prep.
