Pregnancy Circle

No matter where you are in your pregnancy, you are welcome.

You're invited to a space to share with each other the ups and downs of the pregnancy journey.

From the moment you receive that positive pregnancy test to post birth, so much change is occurring, physically, mentally, emotionally.

Though often a happy and joyful event in life, that doesn't mean that a myriad of feelings of thoughts can be there along the way.

Along the way you might have feelings of:

• Fear of the change of your life, of what is happening to your body

• Frustration of symptoms you are experiencing

• Joy and wonder at what is happening in your body

• Closer connection or disconnection with those around you

• Fear and confusion about the birthing process

• Excitement of becoming a parent

• Grief of the change

• Fear of being a 'good' parent

• And sooo much else!

We can seek support from wonderful professionals along the way who can ease the fears, and educate us, but we also need space to show up, not with questions to be asked, but feelings and thoughts to be shared. A space where we can find connection.

That's where this circle comes in.

It won't solve your problems or educate you. (though it might)

It will provide you a space where you can truly share all that you're thinking and feeling in a judgment free space.

It will connect you with others going through the same thing as you, at different points of their journey.

Sometimes it can feel lonely along the way. Come along to share the joy, the grief, the fear, the hope with each other.

Why do I offer this?

Hi I'm Kim I have been offering spaces for people to come as they are and grow together for many years now through art therapy and counselling. Now I am beginning my pregnancy journey and I feel the deep need for a space like this. For others, and for myself. If others are interested I will continue to offer these circles until the birth of my baby in June.

Details

When: Sunday November 22nd 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Location: - To be confirmed - It will depend on numbers. It will be in the Darwin region.

Cost: By donation, suggestion - $15-$20 which can be paid via cash or bank transfer on the day. However don't let cost be a barrier to attending.
