Prelim Chemistry - Year 11 Kickstarter [CHATSWOOD CAMPUS]
Event description
Did you pick Chemistry as one of your Year 11 subjects?? Want to get ahead so that it’s easier to stay on top of your work?
In this Year 11 Kickstarter Holiday Workshop, we’re going to help you master key challenging areas from Year 10 and get a headstart on the Year 11 Prelim HSC syllabus!
We will help you:
- Get an introduction to Properties of Matter
- Differentiate between Atoms, Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures
- Learn how to express Percentage Composition for Mixtures
- Define Organic, Inorganic, and Organometallic Chemistry
- Name common polyatomic ions
- Review Atomic Structures and Atomic Mass
Why is it important to master this now?
These are the concepts that sit in the engine room of all the incoming Chemistry for your Prelim HSC. Don’t go into Year 11 with gaps in your understanding – it’s going to make the Prelim HSC course a lot more challenging. This workshop therefore will help you build a strong foundation so you can excel in your HSC, while also getting you started on the Year 11 material so you’re ready to hit the ground running next term!
