Preliminary Round – Presentation Competition

Ready to put your pitching skills to the test? The Preliminary Round is the first stage of this year’s Presentation Competition and your opportunity to take your idea from the workshop to the stage.

Designed to be a low-pressure and supportive first round, the preliminaries are all about giving you the chance to practise your presentation, build confidence, and receive valuable feedback from both peers and industry professionals. You don't need to have a perfect pitch — this is your chance to give it a go, learn from the experience, and improve your presentation skills.

The preliminary round will run across Monday - Wednesday of Week 8, with students pitching their ideas to a panel. From the preliminary round, 8 finalists will be selected, with one finalist representing each discipline. These finalists will then progress through to the final stage of the competition.

Whether you're confident on stage or have never pitched before, the Preliminary Round is the perfect opportunity to get involved, test your idea, and see where your presentation can take you.
