If you want to gain some confidence to sit in front of a publisher or agent and pitch your manuscript, this workshop is for you.
If you want to know what happens in a live pitch session from an author who has been there, this workshop is for you.
If you've signed up to pitch at the Festival of Fiction sessions (or another live pitch event), this workshop is for you.
If you want inside information on what publishing professionals like and don't like when being pitched, this workshop is for you.
In this two-hour session:
You will explore various pitching methods.
You will workshop your book pitch.
We will discuss background research on the person we're pitching to (using Festival of Fiction Pitch takers).
You will practice your pitch with another writer in a safe space.
You'll get to ask all your burning questions!

FAQs
- Is this required for pitching at the Festival of Fiction?
Absolutely not! This is simply a workshop I am running to support aspiring authors who may not have pitched live before or those feeling unsure and nervous about their pitches.
- Where do I park?
There is free general parking at the venue, shared with the Landsdale Forum Shopping Precinct and Broadview Park. There is overflow parking at the adjoining City of Wanneroo carpark on Lamas Grove.
- Where is the venue?
Dordaak Kepup Library is at 15 The Broadview, Landsdale WA. The space inside the library/hub is called Nyumbi.
- Is it accessible?
Yes, the venue is new and fully accessible, with wheelchair accessible parking right near the entrance. There is also a quiet room on site (Kep Wari - ask a staff member) or you are welcome to take a sensory break at any point during the workshop.
- Can I bring a non-author support person?
A non-participating support person is permitted to enter with you for free. Please contact Sasha to discuss before buying your ticket.
