    Event description

The Victorian Budget will be delivered on Tuesday 7th May 2024.

The budget is a set-piece economic event for the Victorian Government, and a significant moment for the state's social and community sector.

This pre-budget sector briefing — which includes a feature presentation from RMIT economics professor Dr David Hayward — will:

    • Help you understand the political and fiscal context of the budget.
    • Give practical advice for understanding (and navigating) the budget papers.
    • Explain what to expect on budget day (logistics, media, political engagement, etc)
    • Detail VCOSS' role in budget week.

This event is free for VCOSS members and supporters.

    Non-member tickets are $60

You will be able to submit a question as you register, and ask questions during the session.

No prior knowledge of budgets or economics is required.
