Description

Do you freeze on camera? Struggle to respond to tough questions? Wish you could pitch or present with confidence and authority?

This one-day intensive masterclass will transform how you present, pitch and respond to tough questions under pressure — whether you're speaking at a conference, on a podcast or panel, facing a journalist, or making the case to potential clients, investors and policymakers.

Led by Theresa Miller — former international TV, radio and print journalist, author and experienced media trainer — this is the most practical, personalised communication training you'll find.

Limited to just 6 people. Every participant presents in the morning and is then interviewed on-camera about their specific topic in the afternoon. You'll receive individual, practical and supportive feedback and coaching. You'll also get a password-protected video of your performance, plus a personal written feedback report. And a free copy of Speak Up - how to be a successful presenter and media spokesperson.

MORNING: Presentation & pitch skills

  • Structure presentations and pitches that land

  • Speak with authority — body language, voice and presence

  • Use storytelling to engage and influence

  • Manage nerves and think on your feet

Each participant presents on camera and receives specific, generous feedback.

AFTERNOON: Media and high-stakes communication

  • Handle interviews and tough questions under pressure

  • Stay on message and deliver clear, quotable sound bites

  • Perform confidently on camera, radio, panels and podcasts

Each participant is interviewed on camera by Theresa (as an experienced journalist) about their own industry issue — then receives detailed feedback on what worked and what to do differently next time.

"NATA has used Theresa Miller to build confidence among key staff to become better presenters and storytellers. Her no nonsense practical advice and structured techniques, tools and tips have given the team assurance they can step up in front of any audience to perform and present confidently and professionally."

Brendon Moo, National Association of Testing Authorities

"I have worked with Theresa for more than 20 years. She's an outstanding presenter, trainer and writer with a strong background in broadcast and print journalism. I've hired her on many occasions to facilitate media training for high profile clients, including executives and celebrity talent. Theresa's workshops are always engaging, informative and tailored to exactly what the client wants and needs. She's highly intelligent with a wonderful sense of humour. If you're thinking about media training, business writing and communication skills, Theresa Miller should be your first choice.”

Karen Eck, Publicist and Director, eckfactor and co-founder of Collabor8Women

"I learned a lot – the structure of answering questions, body language during interviews, delivering your key message and pivoting away from tricky questions. I would 100% recommend this incredibly useful learning experience. I now feel ready and confident for media interviews. Thank you!"

Prof Suraj Sumtami, Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing

"Theresa, I used a lot of what you taught me. I read your pack before my job interview and took a risk and presented a plan to them in my interview and got the job! I wouldn't have done those things without you.

You changed my presenting strategy and gave me the confidence to back myself."

Carley Beever, Senior Retail Manager at Potentia Energy

"If I said it once, I'll say it again -- best training session I've ever been lucky enough to experience!"
