Press and Print - Lino Carving for adults.

A creative and relaxing workshop, where you will learn the skills of linocutting and printing. I like my workshops to be a happy blend of creativity and relaxation, and we will share delicious nibblies and drinks as we work our way through the printing processes. This workshop is designed for beginners, where you will learn about designing your image, carving the block using lino tools, and using a variety of print methods. Helen Gray will be teaching this class, and after an introduction to the tools of the trade, and information about the inks and papers, you will learn the techniques of lino printing by hand, and also with the use of a table-top press.

There will be printed information available about lino printing tools, where to purchase supplies from, and inspiring/educational online resources.

Prior experience not required, and by the end of the workshop, everyone will leave with their very own unique lino print, a sense of achievement, and perhaps another interest to pursue! 

I love to see the social nature of these classes, and it's a wonderful way to meet new people, often with a shared interest. Be warned: Lino printing is addictive! Get ready for a fun and relaxing evening!
