Having an understanding of your finances is a critical skill for small business operators. Pricing your work appropriately and monitoring your profit margins will help you make informed business decisions.

This session will help you determine whether you need to increase your prices, if you can afford major business purchases or employ additional staff, and assess your supplier costs. 

This topic covers:
  • How to read and understand essential business reports;
  • How to determine your break even sales point;
  • Understand the difference between fixed costs and variable costs;
  • Determine your gross and net profit margins;
  • Understand the difference between margins and mark-up's.

This session is for anyone in business who needs to better understand key financial indicators. Participants will be provided with a workbook to help them apply to their business.

This online workshop will be recorded and made available for those registrants unable to attend the live event. A link to the recording will be available to registrants from the workshop hub within 24 hours of the live event taking place. You will have a week to watch the video before the link expires.

Their presenter of this topic has extensive experience in MYOB and XERO training, franchising, change management, digital transformation consulting and financial literacy training for small business owners, and more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Bookings are limited to two tickets each, however you can make more than one booking. If you are booking for more than one person, please provide each person's email address so they receive our emails with important links and downloads.

If you cannot attend, please cancel so your place can be made available to another business owner. You can cancel your booking from the update order button on your order confirmation email. Cancellations and refunds for paid workshops can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop starts.
