Pride Grows Bushcare Day – Gunning Showgrounds Bushland Park

Join us for a hands-on morning of bushcare and community connection at Gunning Showgrounds Bushland Park—an important remnant of endangered Box Gum Grassy Woodlands.

We’ll be weeding and replanting native species in the area around the yarning circle, helping to refresh recent plantings done in collaboration with the Ngunnawal community. We'll also be spreading kangaroo grass hay to support regeneration and suppress invasive weeds.

Date: Sunday 13 April
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (includes morning tea)
Location: Gunning Showgrounds Bushland Park (Copeland Street entrance)

Transport: Carpooling is encouraged. Please let us know in your RSVP if you need a lift from Canberra or if you have seats available to offer.

This is a great opportunity to learn about local ecology, meet like-minded people, and contribute to the ongoing care of a community-led ecological restoration site.

Morning tea provided. All are welcome—no bushcare experience or tools needed!
