Olólùfẹ́ Collective would like to celebrate Pride with an open mic and invite queer artists to share their art.
About us:
We are COVID-safe, anti-capitalism, disabled, Africans, Caribbean, Latinx people across Ireland, The Netherlands, Turtle Island and the UK working together to survive, create and build a loving artistic community.
We invite artists to share written works, visual art, fiber arts, theatre and music (we welcome all sorts of art it is not an exhaustive list)
For artists that would like to submit their work before the event we have a submission form available however people are welcome to share on the night.
This is a COVID-safe event taking place on Zoom and we will have a quiet room for people who would like a break from the main room.
What accessibility will be available during the performance?
There will be major trigger warnings spoken verbally as well as typed in the chat
Captions will be available during Zoom
Image Descriptions and audio descriptions will be spoken as well as put in the chat
No bright, flashing or distressing images will be shown during the event without a clear warning,
How to prepare:
Make sure you have access to technology that can run Zoom (computer, tablet, smartphone, phone)
Clear space in your calendar for the event
Bring anything that brings you comfort or can help you be more present eg: stuffed animals, candles, incense, ice/heat packs, note pad for doodling, clay, putty, coloring materials, etc
Have water and a snack nearby
