PDX PRIDE PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
Event description
Join us for the Queer Courts Pride Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, July 28th, from 11 AM to 3 PM at The People's Courts. This event is organized by and for the queer community.
This tournament is designed for players with some pickleball experience. We anticipate most folks will be beginner or intermediate players.  Advanced players are encouraged to team up with beginners or intermediate players to create a fun and inclusive experience.
The tournament is doubles (2 on 2), with teams consisting of 2-6 total players to allow for substitutions.
Each team will play approximately 8 rounds/games, with breaks in between. We recommend having plenty of substitutes, as playing 8 games can be demanding!
How to sign up:
Option A) Form your own team! Please indicate your team name/teammates names in the form at checkout.
For this option, you can pay $72 to sign up your whole team- have a team captain do this.Â
Option B) Sign up as an individual and be placed on a team, and pay $25.Â
We will have everything set up for a fun day of pickleball-ing: nets, paddles, snacks, drinks. There will be prizes for the winning team! We will have some shade available, but the courts may be in the sun.Â
Bring:
- Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen)Â
- Water bottleÂ
- Lunch (we will have snacks)
- Paddles if you have them (we have extra in case you don’t)
