Faction Carnival - Pilbara Pride Festival Edition - Sunday 15 June, 10am - 12.30pm, South Hedland Town Square ticket
To celebrate Pride Pilbara Festival 2025, we are bringing one of our community’s most loved events to the Pilbara for the very first time… Faction Carnival! So what’s in store for the day? Expect a huge splash of colour, plenty of laughs, and some good old-fashioned fun. Participants will get the chance to play childhood favourites like leader ball and tunnel ball, plus some classic running and relay races. No experience or athletic ability required – we also have plenty of less physical games like handbag toss and bucket ball running throughout the day. You don’t need to participate in every activity – just do what feels fun and comfortable for you. If you require support or adjustments, we’d love to help – please let us know how we can assist. We’re pulling out all the stops with some sneaky surprises and exciting new additions to celebrate our first ever Faction Carnival in the Pilbara – so let’s make it count! Faction Carnival is all about making new connections in a laid-back, friendly environment. It’s a chance to meet new people, have a laugh, and celebrate together through play. Prior to the event, you’ll be assigned to a “faction” (house) and notified of your colour. Come dressed in your colour on event day to proudly represent your team. For those who are more comfortable participating with a friend on the same team you can tell us their name during registration but we highly encourage meeting new people and you will be with your mates on the same field anyway. We’re working closely with organisers to ensure the event is as accessible and inclusive as possible. The event will be outdoors on grass, with bright colours and occasional loud noises (like a sporting event).
