Event description
Gather one, gather all, for the fourth year of the Youth Pride & Progress Ball hosted by Youth Diversity Inc. at Cockburn Youth Centre!
This free event is a chance for young LGBTQIA+ people (14-24) to come together and celebrate.
This year our theme is Modern Magic! Think Buffy the Vampire slayer, Charmed, The Craft, American Horror Story, Anime and all things magical and modern!
We have a fantastic evening planned for you with:
- DJ Manic, live in the hall!
- Photobooth
- UV paints
- Henna artists
- Fabulous Feud
- Market Stalls
- Stalls for organisations
- Chill-out room
- MC'd by one of our own YDI drag kings
- TTRP game run by in house Dungeon Master Michael!
- Free drinks and free food.
Fabulous Feud
This year we see the return of the crowd favourite game, Fabulous Feud!
Compete in one of three teams, guessing the top answers to some spicy, room-splitting questions as answered by you, the attendees!
Answered how you say? Upon registering your ticket, you will be given the change to answer a few quick questions (should only take a minute or two). Your answer will be included in the answer poll and be used in the Fabulous Feud!
What will play and who will win? We can't wait to find out.
TTRPG
Join our in-house Dungeon Master Michael for a fabulously magical tabletop roleplaying game. Join for the whole night or come and go as you please with this fantastic and marvelous RPG.
The Chill Out Space
Sometimes we all need a some peace. We will have a quiet space where you can unwind and deflate.
Speak to the staff member at the desk and to be let in. You'll be able to soak in the quiet and recharge through our acoustically insulated studio.

LGBTQIA+ people have a special affinity for the power and freedom in the world of magic and fantasy and we are bringing that fabulosity to our pride ball. Take inspiration from the characters and stories that bring you life, excite your imagination and pull you into a new and magical world!
What sort of food will there be?
We're excited announce that we have the incredible Kel, our resident chef, catering the event.
Kel and his crew of young budding chefs have some delectable, mouth-watering morsels in store for you. And there will be something for everyone, whether you are gluten-free, celiac, vegan, lactose intolerant, etc.
Just make sure you let us know what your dietary requirements are so that we can cater for you!
