PrimeSCI! Synchrotron Workshops - January 2025

The PrimeSCI! Team is excited to welcome students from Year 9 - 12 to the Australian Synchrotron! Learn how the Australian Synchrotron combines science and technology to produce cutting edge research.

Includes a hands-on lab session plus a tour of the facility. Use specialised equipment to learn about the interaction of light and energy, nuclear physics, radioactivity and dark matter.

Light It Up (Year 9 - 10)

Wednesday 2 October 2024, 9:30am - 12:00pm or 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Synchrotron and its Applications (Year 10 - 12)
Thursday 3 October 2024, 9:30am - 2:00pm

Cost: $39.50 per participant for 2.5hr workshop (plus $0.50 Humanitix booking fee)
$54.50 per participant for 4.5hr workshop (plus $0.50 Humanitix booking fee)

Funded Places: A limited number of fully funded places are available for participants to attend the PrimeSCI! Synchrotron Tours and Lab Sessions, who would not be able to attend without financial support. You are NOT required to complete the Registration form.

Please enrol your child in the age/2025 year level appropriate sessions only. Sessions are not suitable for students from Year 9 and below.
