PrimeSCI! Synchrotron Workshops - July 2025
Event description
The PrimeSCI! Team is excited to welcome students from Year 9 - 12 to the Australian Synchrotron! Learn how the Australian Synchrotron combines science and technology to produce cutting edge research.
Includes a hands-on lab session plus a tour of the facility. Use specialised equipment to learn about the interaction of light and energy, nuclear physics, radioactivity and dark matter.
The team is excited to launch a new workshop aligned with the VCE Chemistry Curriculum, with hands-on experimental application of chromatography and spectroscopy.

Cost:
$54.00 per participant for 4.5 hour program (plus $0.50 Humanitix fee)
$44.50 per participant for S&iA lab only (plus $0.50 Humanitix fee)
$44.50 per participant for 3 hour program (plus $0.50 Humanitix fee)
Visitor information will be provided once registered.
Funded Places: A limited number of fully funded places are available for participants to attend the PrimeSCI! Synchrotron Tours and Lab Sessions, who would not be able to attend without financial support. You are NOT required to complete the Registration form.

Please enrol your child in the age/2025 year level appropriate sessions only. Sessions are not suitable for students from Year 8 and below.
