Print and Stitch Cyanotypes
Event description
Explore the blue world of cyanotype printing on paper and fabric. Donna from Stitch Paint Burn Studio will guide you through the process as you experiment with this alternative photography technique using UV light to create prints. After lunch, we will enhance one of our fabric cyanotypes with a range of embroidery stitches.Â
At the end of the day, you will take home a collection of cyanotype prints, including at least one with stitched embellishments, and a 15cm embroidery hoop which can be used for display.
About the facilitator:Â Donna Gordge is a visual artist from Adelaide. As a former-art teacher she has a broad range of skills which she enjoys sharing. Donna's own art practice is mostly sculptural objects, installation and artist's books, and often includes textile elements.
