FAQs

• Do I need any experience with clay?

  Not at all. Coffee & Claytime is beginner-friendly and designed for anyone curious about working with clay. Myf will guide you through the process step by step and offer individual support throughout the session.

• How many pieces will I make?

  Most people make one to two pieces during the session, depending on pace and design. Your ticket includes the glazing and firing of one piece. If you’d like to keep more, additional pieces can be added on for $20 per piece, payable on the day.

• When will my piece be ready to collect?

  Finished pieces are usually ready for collection around four to six weeks after the session. You’ll be contacted via email when your piece is ready to pick up from the studio.

• What if my piece doesn’t turn out how I hoped?

  That’s all part of working with clay. If your piece isn’t quite right after firing, you’ll receive a $30 credit to use in-store at Grounded By Designs or towards a future workshop.

• What should I wear?

  Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on. Aprons are provided, but clay has a way of finding its place.

• Can I come just for the experience and not keep a piece?

  Absolutely. You’re welcome to enjoy the making process without firing a piece. Just let Myf know on the day and you will receive a $30 credit to spend in store or for a future workshop.

• Is this workshop suitable as a gift?

  Yes, Coffee & Claytime makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys creative experiences, slowing down, or trying something new.
