Private Event with Stephen McGown | 2025 Rex J Lipman Fellow
Event description
Tim Browning, Headmaster, is delighted to invite you to a special gathering with Stephen McGown, author, adventurer, and the longest-held surviving Al-Qaeda hostage.
Stephen’s extraordinary story of endurance, resourcefulness and inner strength during nearly six years in captivity offers profound insights into resilience, mindset and the meaning of freedom.
His experiences may particularly resonate with those who have an interest in global affairs, humanitarian work, mental health and wellbeing, education, leadership, or personal transformation.
Held in an intimate setting and followed by a light lunch, this event is an opportunity for valued members of the St Peter’s College community to connect more personally with Stephen ahead of his Rex J Lipman Public Lecture that evening.
