Learn how to make your own reusable produce bag out of reclaimed lace with Zero Waste Victoria and Tamara Russell from Karhina Textiles. No prior sewing skills are required. Tools and materials provided.

During this FREE workshop, you will learn:

  • How to select the right fabric 
  • How to sew a running stitch and french seam
  • How to put together your bag

What you’ll get:

  • Tools and materials to use during the workshop, including needles, thread and fabric
  • A lightweight reusable produce bag + the skills to make more and eliminate your need for single-use plastic produce bags

Facilitator

Tamara Russell is a Textile Artist specialising in free machine embroidery, hand stitching and mending based in Melbourne. She has been making her clothes and mending since a teenager.  Loving to personalise her wardrobe with visible mending, embroidery and embellishment.
