The Auteur Clubā€™s Professional Actors Bootcamp is a two-day intensive designed to provide aspiring and potential actors with essential knowledge about the business side of acting, specifically tailored to prepare them for roles in upcoming productions like The Coffee Shop. This Bootcamp not only focuses on the craft of acting but also emphasizes the importance of understanding the industry, ensuring participants are well-rounded and prepared for a professional acting career. Registration included course materials, lunch on Day 1, Auteur Club Membership for 1 year and opportunity to audition for "The Coffee Shop" and other projects in development.

September 21, 9am -Ā Day 1:

Casting 101 -Ā This session will demystify the casting process, offering participants insight into what casting directors look for during auditions. The instructor will guide attendees through the dos and donā€™ts of auditioning, how to prepare for a role, and the importance of first impressions.

    On-SetĀ Etiquette -Ā This session focuses on the professional behavior expected on set. The instructorĀ will cover the essentials of on-set etiquette, including interacting with directors and crew, understanding call sheets, and maintaining professionalism at all times.

    Lunch Break (Included)

    Acting For The Screen -Ā This session willĀ focus on the nuances of acting for the camera versus stage acting. Participants will learn techniques for delivering authentic performances on screen, understanding camera angles, and working with directors to bring a character to life.

    The Basics of IMDB Pro -Ā This session will introduce participants to IMDB Pro, an essential tool for actors to manage their professional profiles, track industry trends, and connect with casting agents and directors. The instructorĀ will provide a hands-on guide to creating and maintaining an effective IMDb profile.

    September 22, 12 pm,Ā Day2 :

    Ā Attendees will participate in a table read of "The Coffee Shop", as well as casting call toĀ audition for roles fromĀ "The Coffee Shop",Ā and other potential productions. This will be a practical application of the skills learned on Day One, with immediate feedback from casting professionals.

    Kendra Elise Montgomery: Late 20s, African American. Introverted yet brilliant in tech, with a passion for cybersecurity. Quietly determined, she recently moved to Memphis to push her boundaries and find her place.Ā 

    Nathaniel Bryce Thompson: Mid 30s, African American. Nerdy and creative tech entrepreneur, with deep roots in Memphis. Charismatic yet reserved, he's driven by a mission to bridge the tech gap for Black youth.

    Maya Danielle Johnson-Phillips: Late 20s - Early 30s, African American. Vivacious and stylish visual artist and fashion designer. Her warm and energetic personality masks a deeply nurturing side, eager to help others break out of their shells.

    Other Potential Production Character Description

    Female, Late 30s - Mid 40s, African American. beautiful, athletic build, intelligent, street smart and ruthless (an assassin). She is also loyal and has a great love for family.
