Description

Closing the Knowledge Gap.

A Roundtable for Professional Advisers exploring philanthropy, client values and local impact

Professional advisers guide clients through life’s most significant decisions across business and life. Wealth creation, succession, retirement and legacy are the conversations that often relate to purpose, generosity and community impact.

Peel Community Foundation invites trusted advisers to join a practical, roundtable discussion and presentation on the role trusted advisers have in supporting clients who want to give meaningfully and create lasting local impact.

This month's topic "Closing the Knowledge Gap: The Trusted Adviser’s Opportunity in Philanthropy" is a peer discussion and practical learning session, with knowledge sharing on what works, the resources available and ways to identify opportunities to assist clients in their giving journey.

Most clients want meaningful conversations about giving, legacy and impact, yet many advisers avoid the topic because they lack confidence, knowledge or clear referral pathways.

This peer group roundtable will explore how trusted advisers can bridge that gap, strengthen client relationships and add value by understanding the practical role philanthropy can play in financial, estate, life transition, family relationship building, legacy and succession planning.

Join your peers to share experiences, build confidence and discover the resources and support available through Peel Community Foundation to help guide these important conversations.

Together we’ll explore:

  • why philanthropy conversations are becoming more important in advisory practice and how to initiate them with respect and care,

  • what motivates people to give,

  • how local community foundations can simplify giving,

  • practical resources available to support adviser-led conversations with clients

  • ideas for future knowledge sharing and professional development relating to philanthropy, legacy and generosity.

The session will also showcase the flexible giving pathways and support that the Peel Community Foundation can provide for advisers and their clients at all levels of philanthropy.
