Big Levers introduces you to the role of policies, governance, resources and training in creating systemic and transformative change in geographic place naming and public art equality. We will guide you through examples of good policy and governance structures. Sector leaders will share their stories of progress. This session will be on the 10th December 2024, 10.45am -12.15pm
Good policy, governance and providing appropriate resourcing for place naming and public art can make a huge difference to an organisation’s decision-making process and the outcomes they deliver.
To achieve 70% of all new commemorative naming to be after women we need to pull ever lever possible and they don’t get much bigger than policy, governance, resources and training.
This session will dig into the details of what a good policy and governance structure looks like when equality is embedded, how to ensure your governance structures can perform to an optimal level and the resources and training supports progress.
