Professional Learning: Connection Through Portraiture with Thomas Readett
Description
Calling Teachers and Artists!
Join Ngarrindjeri/Kaurna artist Thomas Readett for an evening of Professional Learning exploring Portraiture. This hands-on workshop invites teachers and artists to explore portraiture, through mixed media drawing, as a powerful tool for connection, self-expression, and wellbeing.
Participants will journey from drawing themselves to drawing each other, discovering how self-observation and life drawing can deepen creative engagement and connection to self and others in the classroom. Through a guided practice, teachers will experience creative processes that nurture calm and focus and learn how to translate these experiences for their students. Grounded in wellbeing and creative inquiry, this approach can be applied across all areas of the curriculum to inspire confidence, curiosity, and connection in learners of all ages.
