Professional Presentation Skills Training Outline

Properly develop expanded presentations

In the expanded role of the Professional Presenter a demand for better presentations is bound to crop up from their clients; whether the demand is to cover more material in the same expected timetable that they’ve worked with when they weren’t serving at a professional capacity, or to going into deeper and greater detail on certain issues or aspects of the topics that they are being made to present to their target audience. Learners will be given techniques on how to effectively cater to these demands for more material or greater complexity while also remaining within the restrictions that have been heavily imposed on the presenter by their clientele.

Create more effective, impactful presentations

As Professional Presenters, clients expect them to be far more effective at giving their presentations. These can be measured in a wide variety of ways, ranging from audience reception, interaction and attentiveness while the presentation is being conducted. Also it could be the retention and proficiency of materials presented. Experts in various, related fields such as linguistics and psychology have done extensive research on the fields of discourse analysis and memory respectively that a presenter can incorporate into their presentation to improve its effectiveness in these and many other fields. Such material and assistance will be made available to learners and is hoped will be fully utilized by them.

Maximise efficiency in the presentation creation progress

Professional Presenters may already be working under strict timetables, and this can be compounded by having to study and present material they may not have extensive knowledge about, or simply not be given the materials they are comfortable with to create the presentation they wish. A system needs to be in place to handle these contingencies, and in turn when they are operating within their regular comfort zone, how to make them more efficient in the creation process. Veteran presenters and instructors of relevant fields will ensure that these vital lessons are taught to help improve the professional presenter’s ability to create these with increased efficiency.

Review and refine presentation techniques

At times burnout or other factors can wear down a professional presenter and they may forget to use certain techniques and styles, whether it be in the materials used to create and present their desired presentation to how they carry themselves when under the spotlight. In Professional Presentation Skills training presenters will be allowed to go back to basics and relearn and review previously learned material, and be given ample opportunities to review and polish their techniques from posture, language, and use of both therein.

Manage and avoid pitfalls

Nothing is perfect. Contingencies can be made, workarounds can be constructed, and a lecturer can prepare for any instance where one component or another of their presentation can end up failing, and to reinforce that presenters undertaking Professional Presenter Skills training will be taught how to avoid and mitigate these errors and mistakes, ranging from errors in their presentation to common acts and gestures that can be misinterpreted. In the event of something or other failing however, the participant will also be taught how to work around these errors and still create a powerful and effective presentation despite their now and suddenly limited options.
