The University of Newcastle in partnership with Central Coast Council are hosting a free public oration on in honour of Professor Uncle Bob Morgan AO hosted at the new Gosford Regional Library, Dennison Street, Gosford on Monday 22nd September 2025.
The intention of the public lecture is to provide a free event where the broader community can hear about important issues impacting the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people on the Central Coast.
The inaugural event will feature a keynote presentation by Larissa Behrendt, an accomplished lawyer, author, filmmaker, and academic. Renowned for her work in social justice, Larissa has written award-winning novels and directed impactful documentaries that advocate for better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This year’s keynote theme is Empowering Tools for Aboriginal Social Justice, Change and Transformation.
