Five Places ~ Five Courses ~ One Epic Night
Join us for a celebration of PROG Rock, as the Walcha Business Group delivers a progressive dinner, hosted across five different venues around Walcha, all within an easy 1.1km walking route.
Enjoy five separate courses, beautifully paired with a specialty drink, and explore the symphonic journey of tastes and sounds as you sing, dance and eat.
Your ticket covers all five food courses and five drinks (one at each venue). Extra drinks can be purchased additionally, if required, at any of the venues.
Dress up in elaborate costumes and be fascinated by the long solos, fantastic lyrics and grandiose decor associated with this interesting musical genre.

Track 1 – The Piper's Appetizer (Entrée) at the Commercial Hotel, 100 Commercial Lane
Gourmet Pâté with savoury baked goods
Drink: “Ripples in Riesling” or “Echoes” (elderflower and gin spritz)
Track 2 – Supper's Ready (Soup Course) at Walcha Bar and Grill, 67W Fitzroy St
Roasted Pumpkin & Sage Soup with Artisan Bread
Drink: “Cinema Show Chardonnay” or “Watcher of the Sours” (Sour Ale)
Track 3 – Meddle in the Middle (Main Course) at Apsley Arms Hotel, 33N Derby St
Braised Lamb Shanks with Rosemary Jus and root vegetables
Drink: “The Lamb Lies Down Pinot Noir” or "Dark Side Stout"
Track 4 – Thick as a Brick (Cheese Course) at Walcha Royal Cafe, 26E Fitzroy St
Artisan Cheese Board with Crackers, Honey, Walnuts and Figs
Drink: “Fools Overture Shiraz” or "Velvet Reverie” (Smoky Whiskey neat or with ginger beer)
Track 5 – Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Dessert) at Walcha Bowling Club, 14E Croudace St
Mini Pavlovas or Trifle Cups
Drink: “Cloudburst Moscato” or “Breathe Cider”
The Boring Stuff: All tickets must be pre-paid and are not transferable throughout the event.
A set amount of time has been allocated for each course and travel between each venue. We ask that you stick to this as closely as possible to enable food to be served at each venue in its best condition.
The total distance of the walk is 1.1km, divided into 4 parts.
We value the responsible service of alcohol and will support any venue who refuses a ticket holder service of alcohol due to intoxication.
