Progressive Christianity Forum - Sarah Agnew - RECEIVING THE SACRED STORY WITH IMAGINATION
Event description
Reimagining sacred stories, in conversation with our own, invites us to connect. Connect with our spiritual inheritance; with our own stories; connect deeply with meaning we can discover in and for our lived experience; and connect with the Sacred, who reveals Themself through story in profound ways.
Rev Dr Sarah Agnew will invite us to experience this for ourselves, with a new/old story of Jesus in Adelaide, his new recruit Matthew, and a woman and a girl in need of healing. Join Sarah, and explore the gifts of story and imagination for our living and being well.
Sarah Agnew is a biblical storyteller and scholar, a member of the Network of Biblical Storytellers' International, and Adjunct Faculty with Uniting College for Leadership & Theology. Sarah's Embodied Performance methodology for interpreting the Bible aims to bring more imagination and embodiment into biblical scholarship. Minister in placement with Christ Church Uniting, Wayville, a published poet and liturgist, Sarah enjoys jazz, being an Aunt, and forest bathing. sarahagnew.com.au
