PROJECT24 - Monthly Artist Showing

Join us for our monthly Project24 artist in residence showing. Each month we invite you to come and meet the artist, see what they have been up to and connect with other creatives on the coast.

Down in Studio3, this month we have Mieke van den Berg , an established artist in the region known for their contemporary practice specifically in site-responsive murals, sculptures, installations, drawings, and performances. Her murals transform public, residential, and commercial spaces into inspiring settings.

Up in the MakerSpace is Alex Hardy, an emerging visual and sound artist based in the region. Alex is drawn to the freedom and spontaneity of using randomness, impulsivity, and gesture as integral part of their creative process. Their work is characterised by finding moments of serendipity through gesture and refining them through outside processes exploding into this sometimes glitched but considered take on their realities.

Project24 is an artist in residence program that provides space for artists to develop, collaborate, experiment and showcase their work at 2ND Space, Nambour. This year we will host 24 x residencies engaging hundreds of artists from across the region and beyond.

Come and engage with the artist and find out more about everything they've been working on.

2ND Space is 131 Currie St, Nambour, access if via a laneway between 34 - 36 Howard St, Nambour.
