Property Advice Visit Service
Event description
Property Advice Visit Service (PAVS) is designed to reach residents living in high bushfire risk areas. PAVS is an awareness-raising program delivered by trained CFA staff for homes identified as being at the highest risk of bushfire in Victoria. The visit takes approximately 30 - 50 minutes and is FREE.
Residents who receive the PAVS program are:
informed of their local fire risk and hazard
given information about leaving early and the benefits of this option are explained
provided with details of preparation activities that may reduce the impact of bushfire and grassfire on their homes
informed about where to seek further information
provided the option of signing up for further communications from MyCFA
provided with an opportunity to ask questions about their fire risk and preparation
Residents are provided with publications and planning templates to assist with making the recommended changes around their property.
The Property Advice Visit Service is currently being promoted in these locations:
Tallangatta Valley, Lurg, Upper Lurg, Ryans Creek, Wandiligong, Koetong, Granya, Granya Gap, Tatong, Lucyvale, Mt Bruno, Wangandarry, Samaria, Dederang, Barjarg, Kancoona South, Thowgla Upper, areas of benalla, Peppin Point, Bonnie Doon, Kevington, Myrrhee, areas of South Wangaratta, Glenroy, Merrijig, areas around Mansfield, Gapsted, bright, Porepunkah, Havilah.
To register your interest in the PAVS program complete the 'ticketing' process and a CFA Community Safety representative will be in touch to discuss the service. Note: the event date of Dec1 has been set to create an event in Humanitix. The program is being delivered from early September to the end of January depending on the PAVS location.
