Life after prostate cancer can be a challenging time for men and for their families.

Erectile dysfunction and incontinence are common side effects of prostate cancer treatment, but fortunately there are solutions, and there are treatment options available to help you overcome them.

We invite you to join us at this FREE forum as our guest speakers outline ways in which both erectile dysfunction, and incontinence can be treated allowing you to live your life after cancer.

Please note: Spaces are limited so please register to secure a seat. A light snack will be provided with tea/coffee on arrival.

Guest speakers: 

Quinten King

Quinten King is a urological surgeon with special interests in urological oncology and reconstructive urology. He graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand 1985; completed internships, compulsory military service and basic surgical training before commencing specialist urological training in Johannesburg in 1994. He completed a Fellowship in Oxford, England, then practiced in South Africa and at James Cook and North Tees University Hospitals in the UK.

Quinten and his family came to Palmerston North in 2004 where he continued to practice general urology, with an extensive repertoire including transurethral prostate surgery, endourological stone management, neurourology and urodynamic investigation. He enjoys reconstructive urology such as urethroplasty, urinary diversion, bladder augmentation, continent urostomy, vesicovaginal fistula repair etc., and cancer surgery including radical cystectomy, radical prostatectomy, open partial nephrectomy and laparoscopic nephrectomy.

Quinten served on the Training, Accreditation, and Education Committee of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (NZ Section) from 2007 to 2015. He is involved in clinical audit, basic science and clinical research and teaching, and helped establish New Zealand’s first Uro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Team.

Daniel Marshall

Daniel is delighted to have returned home to Palmerston North after completing a General Urological Fellowship with a special interest in Laparoscopy and Prosthetics in Sydney, Australia.

He graduated from Otago University in 2002 then commenced training in General Surgery followed by Urology.

Daniel is a full member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) and the American Urological Association (AUA). He is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Palmerston North Hospital and is the Urology Training Supervisor.
