Motorcycle food delivery riders play an essential role in Southeast Asia’s urban transport and logistics ecosystem. However, their safety remains a growing concern amid rising demand, traffic complexity, and vulnerable road environments.
Hosted by the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) International Outreach Chapter (IOC), this webinar brings together leading experts and practitioners from Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia to explore practical strategies, recent research, and policy efforts aimed at protecting these high-risk road users. Panellists will share insights into the unique safety challenges faced by delivery riders in their respective countries, examine emerging trends and data, and highlight innovative approaches that have been trialled or implemented to improve rider safety.
Join us for an interactive and thought-provoking session as we work towards building safer, fairer, and more sustainable systems for the people delivering our daily essentials on two wheels.
Who should attend:
Road safety professionals, policymakers, researchers, transport planners, delivery platform operators, and anyone with an interest in vulnerable road user safety across the Asia-Pacific region.
