Join the Ovens Landcare Network for our next Sunday Session!
We are hosting Karla Williams, Agriculture Victoria's Apiary Officer to discuss the arrival of Varroa Mite and the expected impacts on our local area and agriculture.Â
Professor Sasha Mikheyev from the Australian National University Bee Lab will demonstrate how you can become involved in the National Bee Observation Citizen Science Program, an amazing opportunity to contribute to efforts to study the genetic of pre-Varroa honeybees in Australia and observe the effects of varroa in Australia as it spreads.
Hear from a local beekeeper, Neil Padbury, about how things as changing for apiarist and discover what to do on your patch to support all our pollinators.
