Event description

Join us in moving, breathing, and focusing to help eliminate gender-based violence and bullying from our communities.

The City of Fremantle has teamed with Polar Star Yuj to bring together a presentation on the issue of gender-based violence. In this special session, practice the nurturing service of Polar Star Yuj, followed by a presentation on how you can help eliminate violence and bullying within our community.

Polar Star Yuj (PSY) is the culmination of 15 years of research, trials and observations in the field of Ego Distortion and Change Adaption. The practice is about rechannelling anger, fear and resentment into a confident, priority-driven pursuit of health and growth.

Mario and Jana recently returned from Asia to welcome the birth of their son, Adam, at Rockingham Hospital. Mapping out Adam's next 18 years prompted thoughts about the messages he will be exposed to both inside and outside the home, which will influence how he treats others. In addition to providing a social scientific perspective on conflict, the couple will share their observations on effective practices that have reduced mortality from gender-based violence in parts of Asia.

This event is in honour of ordinary Australians who have had to pay the ultimate price defending victims of violence and bullying
