华人社区保护签证（Protection visa）社区信息发布会（在线）

作为华人社区备受尊敬的一员，我们诚邀您参加社区信息发布会，以了解澳大利亚政府为阻止 Protection visa（子类866）滥用所采取的措施。

Protection visa 的申请对象是那些回国后确实面临重大伤害风险或确实有可能遭受迫害的寻求庇护者（或其家庭成员），而不是那些只想在澳大利亚多逗留一段时间以便工作的人士。澳大利亚政府正在采取行动，阻止有人滥用澳大利亚的 Protection visa 制度，同时确保那些需要庇护的人士能够迅速获得保护。

在澳大利亚，对于那些考虑申请 Protection visa 的人士，社区在防止错误信息向其传播方面发挥着重要作用。 

这涵盖了对以下内容的宣传： 

1. 在 Protection visa 申请中提交虚假或具有误导性信息所导致的后果。 

2. 向未注册的移民代理或澳大利亚法律从业者寻求移民协助的风险。 

3. 考虑申请 Protection visa 的人士可以获得免费法律咨询。 

此次活动由华人社区领袖牵头，并得到华人社区组织的支持，将以中文进行

我们提供中文简体和中文繁体两种资源，以帮助传播关于 Protection visa 的关键信息，包括您可以与朋友、家人和其他社区成员分享的信息。届时将有一位社区领袖出席，介绍 Protection visa 的变化以及将为您提供的资源。

As a valued and respected member of the Chinese community, we invite you to attend a community information session outlining what the Australian Government is doing to stop the exploitation of Protection visas (subclass 866).

Protection visas are for asylum seekers (or their family members) who face a real risk of significant harm or a real chance of persecution if they return to their home country - they are not for people who just want to stay longer in Australia to work. The Australian Government is taking action to stop people exploiting Australia’s Protection visa system while ensuring those who need asylum are quickly granted protection.

Communities in Australia have an important role to play in preventing the spread of misinformation to those who are considering applying for a Protection visa.

This includes spreading awareness about:

1. The consequences of submitting false or misleading information in a Protection visa application.

2. The risks of seeking immigration assistance from someone who is not a registered migration agent or Australian legal practitioner.

3. Free legal advice for people thinking about applying for a Protection visa.

This event is being led by Chinese community leaders and supported by Chinese community organisations, and it will be delivered in language.

Resources are available in Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional to support the dissemination of key messages about Protection visas, including information you can share with friends, family and others in your community. A community leader will be present to speak about the changes to Protection visa and the resources that will be made available to you.
