Event description
UTS MakeSoc and UTS ProtoSpace are hosting a design and print challenge to start Autumn Session 2021.
The purpose of this challenge is to design an object to be 3D printed on the HP MJF 4200 printer which will protect an egg from cracking when dropped from a 4 metre height. The design constraints will require critical thinking and strategic design to create a successful device that will protect the egg.
Sign up to participate in the event, or spectate as the teams drop their 3D printed device aimed to protect an egg from a 4 meter drop.
Meet us on the 26th of February at UTS ProtoSpace, Building 7, Level 1. How to find us: youtu.be/P69yHlWwDxo
Visit our internal Egg Drop page for specific event participation instructions: bit.ly/protospace-egg-drop
Please note all designs must be submitted by 5pm, Thursday 18th Feb, 2021, as an STL file via our online Print App. Late entries will not be printed in time for the event.
Submitting a design for the egg drop competition is free of charge!
