Event description

Whangarei Pride Month has launched! To celebrate we invite you ALL to enjoy a PROUD Cabaret *live* from the comfort of your living room. MC’d by the one and only Hanz Hehim and featuring local drag kings and queens, music and mischief, rainbows and unicorns and more…

No passes* or pants** needed, gather a group of dearest and queerest friends to watch on the big screen in a bubble of your choosing!

It’s a Fun-draiser with proceeds going towards Whangārei Pride Festival 2023 - when we plan to fill the month of March with art, education, shows, a parade, and physical partying!

YOU can get involved too and run an event or volunteer on the PROUD team.

P.S. we have other online events in March 2022 too, and a spiffy newsletter to sign up to, so head over and check out the site!

*PROUD Cabaret*

Zoom room opens 7.30pm on
Saturday 19th March 2022
Show starts 8pm
Post show DJ JXO live streamed on Twitch with optional chats and dancing in Zoom.

Dress Code
Dress up or down - we recommend all the way up to the nines**!
During the preshow entertainment from 7.30pm, there will be a fabulously fashionable ‘Haus Parade’ where bubbles can strut their stuff, pose and admire one another.

Tickets
Tickets are ‘pay what you can afford’ with a suggested koha of $20 - money should never be a barrier for access to the arts.

Donate extra if you can to cover the cost of someone who can't afford to pay right now, or if you are getting a group together to watch from one location, ask the others to contribute towards a ticket too - all proceeds go towards PROUD Whangārei.

*PROUD advises that all attendees should follow government guidelines for gatherings

**Check with your host re dress code and pantspectations
