Laneway vibes. Local flavour. Live creativity.

Join us for a vibrant evening of live music, delicious food, craft drinks, and hands-on creative fun in the heart of Murwillumbah. Wander through Proudfoots Lane and take in bold new murals, interactive art, lightboxes, and projections that invites play and wonder.
This free community celebration is part of the Murwillumbah Community Improvement pilot project, supported by the NSW Government—honouring the incredible businesses, artists, and locals who have been involved in transforming our town into a thriving place to gather, create, and connect.

FOOD & DRINKS

Fuel up with delicious bites and local flavours from Proudfoots Lane favourites including Modern Grocer, Wollumbin Street Bakery, and Pasta’Bah, — something tasty for every craving.

POP-UP BARBER STATION 

Bonneville Barbershop will be offering quick fringe trims, moustache and beard touch-ups, and sharp styles to keep you looking fresh.

PUBLIC ART  

Experience the new murals, lightboxes and lighting created by epic artists Gus Eagleton, Leah Bartholomew, Bec Denholm, Binx Designs, Kyle Slabb, Madeline White, Thea Skelsey and Michael Philp. There will also be opportunities to meet some of the artists and curator, and hear about their creative process.

KIDS CARING FOR COUNTRY DANCE

Enjoy a vibrant  cultural dance by Kids Caring for Country, a local First Nations group that has been connecting people to culture, community, and Country for over 15 years. Presented by Murwillumbah Community Centre.

LIVE MUSIC

Enjoy the atmospheric sounds of Phil & Tilley, plus a line-up of local busking acts adding a vibrant soundtrack to the evening.

YOUTH CHILLARIUM

Need a moment to relax and recharge? Head to the Youth Chillarium—an inviting space hosted by the Murwillumbah Community Centre, designed for young people to hang out, connect, and unwind during the festivities.

HANDBALL IN THE LANE

Get your game face on and join in some friendly competition! Handball sessions for all ages — bring your best serve and your street style and keep an eye out for an Australian Champion in the mix.

MUSEUM ON WHEELS & DINOSAUR ENCOUNTERS

Tweed Regional Museum rolls into Proudfoots Lane with a roving display, hands-on activities inspired by How to Draw a Dinosaur, and a must-see projection art experience by Craig Walsh — bringing ancient creatures to life in the Tweed River.

YARNBOMBING WITH KNIT HAPPENS

Get cosy and creative with community group Knit Happens! Bring along your own creations or make something on-site to help yarnbomb the lane with warmth, colour, and fun.
