YAWAR PROJECT

A feminist collective that seeks to mitigate menstrual poverty in Bolivia and fight against stigmas about menstruation.

THE FUNDRAISER

Party with Latinas, a group of Latin-Americans, passionate about music, dancing and having fun. They are experienced and talented Zumba instructors/entertainers and well-being professionals that were driven by the cause and decided to organise a fundraising event to raise awareness and help.


ZUMBATHON AND WELL-BEING WORKSHOP

Divided in two parts, the event is going to include a nutrition talk, followed by a Zumbathon and dance-fitness workout.

EVENT DETAILS

Sunday 6th of February on Zoom.

10:15am - Waiting room enable

10:30am - Welcoming

10:40am - Nutrition Talk around the menstrual cycle 

11:00am - Dance

Dress code: Fun and comfortable 

100% of the money raised through this event will go to the Go Fund Me campaign supporting the Yawar Project. 

Once you purchase your ticket, all the information about how to join the event, including the Zoom link, will be sent to your email 2 hours before the event starts. 

FACILITATORS 
  • Tais Sardinas - Registered Nutritionist: Tais is a registered nutritionist who empowers women to love themselves and live in harmony with their cycles.
  • Florencia Rodrigues - Zumba, Zumba Gold, Latin Dance, Pilates Mat, Health, Well-being and Ageing, Zumba® Jammer, All-Abilities Dance Program: Florencia has been a Latin Dance teacher and Zumba instructor for over 15 years. She was the Director of numerous international dance events and festivals and is a choreographer for the Zumba program (Zumba Jammer). Her mission is to make dance fun and accessible to everybody.
  • Manuel Edwards - Zumba®  Instructor Network Member: Manuel is a Afro-Latin Dance Teacher, Zumba Instructor, Events DJ, & Health/Fitness Professional
  • Claudia Aparicio - Zumba® Instructor Network Member & Pilates Instructor: Claudia is a professional dancer and Choreographer from Bolivia. She has shared her dance, fitness and well-being passion in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, Cambodia and Australia for more than 10 years. 
  • Angelica Avila - Dance Fitness: Angelica was a Zumba instructor for 11 years and has recently branched off to choreograph her own music and to teach Dance Fitness. She is also passionate about dancing and teaching Salsa Caleña which is a salsa style from Colombia, where she was born.
