Psychedelic Prophecy
Description
Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World was published in 1932 as science fiction. Today it reads more like prophecy. Join Miles Hunt and Voytek Bereza for a concise presentation and open discussion on the psychedelic prophecy that have since come true. We’ll compare Huxley, Terence McKenna and John Lilly, then ask what a hopeful future might look like and how we can work toward it.
Following in the footsteps of Huxley, one of the most celebrated psychedelic users and writers, Miles Hunt has written his own utopian and dystopian novels, The Storyteller and The Information Editor. He’ll share what it was like to write them, the challenges along the way, and how psychedelics shaped his vision of a better future. Is that vision humanity’s best hope?
This event is part of The Mystery School, a new lecture series from the Australian Psychedelic Society Sydney Chapter, exploring psychedelics, memetics, biohacking and human heuristics.
