This webinar is a 1 hour and 30 minute exploration into Taoist practices, the facilitators will be exploring the benefits of Taoism with insights into the synergy and complimentary nature between Taoist practices and psychedelic medicine. In this webinar, you will be welcomed by Dr Alana (Lani) Roy and Solala Towler.

About the Facilitators

Solala Towler
Author, teacher and well revered Taoist practitioner

Solala Towler has taught and practiced Taoist (Daoist) meditation and qigong for over thirty years. He is an author of 14 books which have been widely distributed in six languages. He is also the author of The Empty Vessel, a widely respected journal dedicated to the exploration and dissemination of Daoist philosophy and practice, including qigong, Chinese medicine, internal alchemy, sexual cultivation, and more. Towler is open to sharing the various traditional and contemporary teachings in a non-discriminatory manner in the belief that it is in using these practices and attitudes of the ancient achieved masters in a timely and contemporary manner that we can best benefit from them and in doing so, be able to effect change in the world around us. Dr Alana Roy (Lani)
Ph. D Psychology, B. A Social Work (MHSW)

Dr Lani Roy has been exploring the benefits of the Tao Te Ching in combination with psychedelic medicine, specifically Ayahuasca diet processes. Lani is a Psychologist, Social Worker and the Founder of The Signs of Life Psychology. She is a Board Approved Psychology and Social Work supervisor and works with a range of Australian universities as a sessional academic and provides field education and supervision services across a range of mental health services, including PRISM- Psychedelic Research in Science and Medicine in partnership with Melissa Warner. She also provides a range of clinical and academic services at Deakin, Victoria University, EGA, The Mental Health Foundation and The Mind Medicine Institute. Lani is involved in emerging clinical trials and research projects in the area of MDMA, psilocybin and Ayahuasca in addition to being the co-ordinator of the psychedelic and plant medicine mental health professional network supported by the Department of Health.

Lani has over 15 years of experience working with suicide prevention and at various Rape Crisis Centres and Sexual Assault Crisis Lines and has provided social work services on various human trafficking projects in Kamapthipura Mumbai and the Philippines. She specialises in preparation and integration in the field of psychedelic and sexual abuse survivors, particularly with Ayahuasca and the vegetelista dieta process. Lani specialises in complex trauma, disabilities and dual diagnosis and working with the Deaf community by providing therapy in Auslan sign language.

Alana is passionate about co-creating a psychedelic ecology which values connection, safety and integrity, integrating science and the sacred.
