Psychoanalysis Cafe - Therapists Cafe for Psychodynamic/-analytic orientations

 
This is an in-person meeting for therapists of psychodynamic/-analytic orientations to come together, talk about what moves us personally and professionally, support and encourage each other, and network/collaborate over coffee and cake. The event is also open to colleagues interested in analytic/-dynamic approaches but not exclusively trained – but it would then be good if you have had some experience with psychodynamic/-analytic therapy yourself. This is to ensure that we share a common frame of reference to create a community experience of being seen and understood.

There will be an hour of a closed 'sharing round' followed by informal networking. In this round, everyone has time to speak about what currently moves them, but you are free to share as much or as little as you like.

This event is for registered therapists only – trainees welcome but details of training need to be provided. This is a non-profit initiative – ticket price covers room rent and snacks.

The Cakes at our meetings are provided by the Luminary Bakery https://www.luminarybakery.com a social enterprise helping women who have experienced trauma and adversity re-enter employment by teaching them how to bake in a protected and therapeutically supported environment. They are a great example of how Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs) can be created at business level to support employees reach their potential.
