Meet your speakers:

Ian has been in the workplace learning and performance space since 2002 and cofounded Practical Training Transfer in 2019. Ian has worked with some of the largest technology, pharmaceutical, financial and manufacturing companies in the world across Asia, Europe and North America to design programs that leverage the PTT methodology to improve and sustain the application of workplace learning. In addition to publishing content for recognised industry leaders such as Training Magazine and CLO Magazine, Ian is a seasoned and respected speaker. He regularly presents at industry events like Association for Talent Development (ATD) ICE, ISPI's annual conference and Focus on Performance in Stockholm.

Melanie combines her entrepreneurial spirit with her 15+ years of experience in L&D to help build memorable & results-based learning experiences.  

In her roles as CEO at the Institute for Transfer Effectiveness, Founder of Going Beyond Training GmbH, Senior Master AL Facilitator at The Center for Accelerated Learning and Senior Kirkpatrick Certified Facilitator at Kirkpatrick Partners LLC, Melanie is passionate about making transfer happen.

Melanie applies strong business acumen, rich practical experience across cultures & a deep understanding of what makes learning stick to support her clients in being more strategic in their L&D initiatives.


Jason has been designing and delivering industry-leading learning programs for major clients in Japan and Asia-Pacific since the 1990’s. Having now supported more than 50,000 learning participants, Jason has become a respected figure in the L&D community in Japan. He is a director of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Japan Global Network, regularly speaks at L&D industry events and frequently writes for HR related media.
