We’re trying something new in our community.

This first forum is a trial of a format we hope can become a regular part of community life here in the City of Cockburn — an evening set aside for people to come together, talk, listen and think through a question with one another.

Our first question is simple, but perhaps not so easy to answer:

Is being liked important?

You don’t need to be an expert, and you don’t need to arrive with a strong opinion.

We’re interested in what happens when we take a question, put it in the room, and give ourselves the time to genuinely listen to how other people think.

We hope you join us for an evening of conversation, reflection and a little practice in democracy.

We encourage all ages to attend. See your neighbours and enjoy some light refreshements.
