Public Meeting: Education and Training

The National led government has taken education in Auckland backwards. School building projects have been paused or cancelled, the healthy school lunches program has been stripped back and their cuts to the Apprenticeship Boost scheme will leave New Zealand without the workforce it needs for the future.

A successful education system should give every Kiwi the opportunity to reach their full potential in whatever path they choose. The government should be supporting our educators to succeed, investing in schools and easing the cost to study and train.

Labour is fighting to ensure that Kiwis have good jobs that pay enough, healthcare they can rely on, and a warm, dry and affordable home with a great school down the road.
