Public workshop: Managing stress
Description
An evidence-based practical introduction to understanding and managing stress at work
This public workshop is shaped by Be Well Co's research and practical work in workplace wellbeing. It's designed to make evidence-based wellbeing training more accessible for individuals and smaller teams, without the commitment of a full workplace program.
Stress is a normal part of work. But when it becomes constant or unmanaged, it can quietly shape how we think, feel, and perform.
Research shows that unmanaged stress affects decision-making, energy, and behaviour at work - often in ways that go unnoticed until they become harder to shift. Difficulty concentrating, feeling on edge, changes in mood or motivation: these are common, and they're addressable.
In this interactive 2-hour workshop, Tegan Davies (Head of Programs, Be Well Co) unpacks how the stress response actually works, how to recognise your own stress patterns, and practical, research-backed strategies to respond more effectively at work and beyond.
Grounded in wellbeing science and Be Well Co's research-driven approach, this session builds understanding without alarmism, stigma, or oversimplification.
