Description

So often we’re told “show, don’t tell” in our writing, but what does that mean, and is it always true? Held as part of Publishable 2026.

In this session, we will break down what is meant by “show, don’t tell”, what it looks like, how to apply it and when — including when not to. Award-winning author Nicole Hayes will draw on examples of when it works and when it doesn’t. Through guided exercises and handy tips, Nicole will show you how to construct dynamic scenes that serve your story and bring out your best writing.

Entrants of Publishable 2026 can join this seminar for free.
