NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE THEATRE proudly presents... PUFFS!
For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil.
This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.
This clever and inventive play never goes more than a minute without a laugh giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers who are so lovable and relatable, you’ll leave the theater wishing they were in the stories all along. Their hilariously heartfelt and epic journey takes the classic story to new places and reimagines what a boy wizard hero can be.
This show is suitable for audience members aged 8+
PUFFS is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Ltd.
FAQs
- Is this production suitable for all ages?
The version of Puffs we are presenting is the Young Wizard edition. There is no profanity in the production.
Because of the subject nature of Puffs some of the scenes may be a little scary for very young wizards.
If they have read the books or seen the films on which the show is loosely based they will likely be fine with Puffs.
The show includes dark wizards, a big scary snake and a battle for the fate of the whole school at the end.
- Can I wear my own wizard costume to the performance?
We want to share the magic of Puffs with as many people as possible, whether or not they are wizards.
You are more than welcome to wear your favorite magical costume to attend the show. We only ask that it doesn't light up or make a sound during the performance.
- Can I get House Points for attending?
Some students might be eligible for House Points (extra credit) for attending Puffs. You should check with your lecturers on their policies for this.
